14 years old for most non-agricultural work.
Exceptions:
- 12 years old outside school hours when employed by parent (follows federal parental exemption).
Under 14
- Generally may not work (12+ may work for parent outside school hours).
Ages 14-15
- Max 6 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week on school days. Max 8 hrs/day non-school.
Ages 16-17
- 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week.
No Permits Required
- No employment certificate required.
- Age certificate required for all minors under 18.
