-   The minimum age of 12 applies to employers not covered by the FLSA.

12 years old for employers not covered by the FLSA.

Exceptions:

-   No state minimum for family business or farm (state law explicitly exempts).

-   Generally may not work (12+ under state law for non-FLSA employers).

Ages 14-15

-   Max 4 hrs on school days, 8 hrs on non-school days.
-   Max 40 hrs/week.
